Most RFID tags contain at least two parts. One is an integrated circuit for storing and processing information, modulating and demodulating aradio-frequency (RF) signal, and other specialized functions. The other is an antenna for receiving and transmitting the signal.
here are three types of RFID tags:
Passive RFID tags, which have no power source and require an external electromagnetic field to initiate a signal transmission,
Active RFID tags, which contain a battery and can transmit signals once an external source ('Interrogator') has been successfully identified.
Battery assisted passive (BAP) RFID tags, which require an external source to wake up but have significant higher forward link capability providing greater range.
For our project we have a change of plan again we will be using the active RFID tags.
We have changed our idea again and now are just going to use the RFID tags without a console as this is to time consuming and wouldn't turn out as we had thought. We will just have one computer screen and have all the games being activated by this station. We will place items around the college with the RFID tags on them for the children to find. They must collect the item bring it to the station and therefor the game will be enabled.
Each item will have a different tag and will enable a different game.
The child will also have the invisible helmet on his head with speakers built into it for the child to hear different music.
